So after turning the wheel all the way to full lock in either direction the brake
pedal will drop to the floor. Then it pumps back up fine after turning the wheel back. I have bled the system, checked all lines for leakage and checked to make
sure that there are no lines being stretched. I am not losing fluid so my next guess is an internally faulty MC but i just wanted to get some input first.

That's a weird one. Does it do that when not moving? If so, get someone to crank that wheel while standing on the brake. Check the engine bay and stuff to see if there's anything moving in there that shouldn't be. Might want to look under the dash and see if anything is hitting the brake pedal?

Yes it happens when not moving. I had someone turning the steering wheel to reproduce it but no leaks or any binding that i could see. i didnt think to look under the dash but will double check. I thought i had a pretty good understanding of cars but this problem is really beyond me or anyone i know. So far no one has heard of this problem.

Do you happen to have power steering on that car? I almost want to say check the big hose from the brake booster to the engine, but I don't see how that could do it. I can't see how it would do that when steering since the 2 aren't related except under the dash and at the kunckles.

Thanks for bringing that up. My car has a manual rack so no power steering. I will check under the dash tomorrow night for anything out of the ordinary. I'm still racking my brain trying to figure out why the steering affects it. I'm sure this will eventually be figured out but, hopefully with the least amount of money spent. But when it does i will finally a make an important contribution to H-T.

Just when you think you’ve heard everything! Wow I have nothing to offer. I know when I got my si the brakes would go to the floor when it was hot under the hood, it was the mc.

Only thing I can think of right now, if there is no leaks, is maybe a bad wheel bearing causing pad knockback giving you a low petal.

What about stretching the brake lines? What kind of brake line bracket/support do you have on your suspension?

Well i have never heard of that but at this point i will try anything. I do have a bad wheel bearing on the passenger side but the thought never crossed my mind that it could be the problem. I will check that out tonight.

i took it with my mechanic and he told me he was gonna blleed the whole system clutch and brakes ,he will charge me 50 and also he was gonna look under to c if something was missing

I have the same exact problem on my 1989 civic sedan!! It all started when I replaced my suspension with full body coilovers. The only thing I noticed was that on my coilovers they didnt have those two bolts where the brake line goes so ny brake lines are just hanging and now when i do a wide turn my brake pedal just goes to the floor untill I turn the wheel back and pump the brakes a bit.
My question is what should i do with my brake lines and how should i keep them in place ?

Ok guys instead of making a new thread I figured I would post here since in having a similar issue. I drive my car maybe twice a week to work. In the morning the brakes work fine and I have no issues. On the way home the pedal goes to the floor and I lose braking power. I just bleed all the lines and I don't see any leaks anywhere. Again it works fine for me drive to work but on the way home I have the brake to the floor issues. What could this be?

The problem could either be a small leak in the system, or worse yet a failing master cylinder.

Either way, you need to get that looked at. Brakes are kind of important!

Yeah I was thinking maybe a small leak but how could it go back to normal the next day in the morning? It could definitely be the MC but I don't want to buy a new one unless I know that is the issue. Is there an easy way to check to make sure that is the problem for sure?

I'd put money on the lower suspension forks are on the wrong side! When going full lock it's pushing on the calipers which pushes the piston back in!

I know it's old, but just had this same problem with a student. He installed lowering struts on the wrong side. Banjo bolt on the calipers hitting the struts putting pressure on the caliper pushing it out on turns.
