Best Engine Oil Weight for high mileage EF?
My local Advance said I needed 20W50!! I was thinking 10W30 or 40, am I crazy? This is for a stock D16 with 210K miles on it. 20W50 seems a little too heavy to me!! What weight oil do you guys run? This is just a stock A to B car, no racing. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response! It's not burning oil at all, great running little car! I think it;s leaking a VERY SMALL bit by the dizzy, but, that's it. Again, thanks!

my B2 has over 350,000 miles on it and still running strong! smokes a lil but hey its a 91! with stock internals...

Royal Purple has been proven to be **** by the way.....FWIW.
Just use what the manual recommends OP. 5w or 10w30
I use 10w30 in the summer adn 5w30 in the winter

i normally use mobile 5-30
but recently got some free castor 0-30 and my motor feels much better.
Keep in mind that I only drive my ef gsr 3 months out of the year (4K) and the motor only has 50k on it.
