BEEP BEEP. Help: Annoying Seatbelt Dinger Won't Turn Off (91 Civic)
So occasionally, when I drive my 91 Hatch the Seatbelt Dinger thing that makes the annoying beeping sound won't turn off even when I have my seatbelt on. In addition, the driver's side seatbelt light above the rearview mirror continues to blink as well. Have any of you disabled the "dinger" or have had this problem. It's by far one of the most annoying sounds to hear repeatively over and over again.

Check your door jambs. Near where the door latch catches, there should be a little black "L" shaped piece of plastic mounted on a stainless steel bracket/slider. See if it's broken, it's an easy (less than 5 minute) fix.
If it is, you can do a couple things:
1. tape it back so it trips the switch and the door "seems" closed.
2. get another switch from the junk yard and replace it -2 phillips head screws and a slide on connector for the wires.

Okay, didn't know that there was a plug underneath the seat, I know my DA has one but that is for the automatic seatbelts. I don't think the L-shaped door pin switch will matter though, because with the door closed it pushes on the switch. The typical problems with the door pin switches is that they don't move back when you open the door (had this problem when my interior light wouldn't come on, because the switch was stuck)

Update: I just went out to the car, found the plug that attaches to the seat pan (underneath the seat) and disconnected it, quick easy solution. No more idiot reminders or annoying beeps.

Good that you managed to get it off.
BUT, always use your seatbelts. They arent there for nothing.

or at least i was happy.
after going outside to take a look under my seat, i realized that both the driver side and passenger side plugs have both already been disconnected.
but this morning it still beeped like crazy. is that possible?
