Default Whats wrong with my CRX?

i have an 89 HF with a d15b7 swap apparently, i dont know anything about it i just bought the car. it starts and runs, idles great but has a fuel cutout at 4k and backfires when it hits the cutout... shoots out blue smoke too.. any help would be appreciated thanks....

its cause of the hf ecu its hitting the rev limit find a pm6 ecu

If you look just to the left of the header, you will see a little name plate that will tell you what what motor is it d15b7 etc. Also as sleepingciv said if you pull up the passenger side carpet it will show you the ecu. On the side of the ecu you will see pm6 or what have you. Stock HF ECU rev limits at 5k.

when i said apparently i meant it like apparently its a swap, i know its a d15b7 i just didnt know if they came in the 89 hf's or not....btw not trying to be rude if thats how im coming off.... anyways thanks ill check and get back to you

d15b7 is from 92-95 dx's and is obd1.your car is obdo;p06 is the stock ecu for the d15b7 motor but a pm6(d16a6) ecu should do ok.

it has vtec too though....like i just bought a horrible attempt at a mini me... because it still has a carburated manny...i dont know if i should just scrap it or what!!!

update: it has a pm5 ecu... wtf is this thing?

Well, if you scrap it and it still has the HF tranny in it, I'll pay to ship it (tranny) to TX. ;-)
