Default b16 help

ok, vtec is not working but im pretty sure thats because my speedomiter is not hooked up, and also my car is redlineing around 7000rpms is the speedomiter doing that to or what else do i have to fix? i know there suppose to redline at like 8200rpms

vehicle speed is one of the conditions for VTEC yes.... but are you getting any engine codes? A faulty knock sensor did this to me once....

i havnt checked for any codes yet, i hope to do that tommarow, what else would cause my motor to redline so early??

Any cel would cause 7k rev limit. The ecu is in safe mode. Not having the speed sensor hooked up would cause it, ive ran into that problem to.
