Which axle ???
Hello,
I'm replacing the passenger side axle with just a cheap re-manufactored one. At the parts store I beleive they had either the one with 23 splines or 26 splines. I have a '88' CRX SI.
Can anyone tell me how I can check as to which one would fit my tranny? I know I could just take out the old one and check but I just want to have the new one on hand when I take the old one out.
thanks in advance!

I think the 23 splined axel is for the hf/std models. I cant be for sure. The SI will take the higher spline count.
If your parts store doesnt know which axel to sell you after you told the :year, make, model you need to go somewhere else.

I'm going to give the Honda dealership a call maybe they'll know. In the meantime if anyone else knows from experience, please let me know. Oh BTW, I'm still using the standard "si" tranny.
thanks!
