Accidentally grounded out my ECU now I'm throwing a code 21
I was being careless and grounded my ecu out an accident. It popped a 15amp fuse under the hood. So I replaced that and the car started up fine but now it throwing a code 21. (vtec solenoid). What do you guys think could have happened? Is there a chance that I fried my solenoid or ecu? Maybe both?

is it actually throwing a cel or is it just the ecu blinking. try to reset it and see if that helps. maybe you knocked a wire loose when you were fumbling with the ecu. did you do the wiring yourself?

Re: Accidentally grounded out my ECU now I'm throwing a code 21 (91civicLX)
I grounded it out las night and a few minutes ago I went to get a voltmeter from my friend to test for continuity and when I started the car the cel was gone. I let the car warm up and took it for a drive and vtec was working fine. Last night the cel was on every time I started the car. All the connections are soldered so I have no idea why it threw the code but it seems to be working fine. I just reset the ecu and drove it home. Oh well, I hope it doesn't come back.
