Is a DOHC ZC IM better than the A6 IM..I have a Si now and if the a6 is better why not use it I guess. Do you i use my a6 dizzy? Also does the dohc zc put around 125-130hp at flywheel? Ive read they put from 115hp-135hp @ flywheel

Re: A6 intake manifold on DOHC (crxecution)

oh and btw, the black cover DOHC ZC is rated at approximately 105-110 at the flywheel.
I think you are talking about the SOHC because the lowest I've seen the ZC rated is 130.

Re: A6 intake manifold on DOHC (FullMetalJacket)

You cann't use a ZC intake on a A6. The mounting points on the block are different, would have to rework it. Get a Z6 or Y8 manifold, bolts right up. Would say yes for the horsepower sounds about right in JDMland they measure H/P at the flywheel while in USA its at the wheels. About the Diz what are you asking, dont understand what you are saying/askin

Re: A6 intake manifold on DOHC (zCivic)

A6 Dizz will not work on the DOHC, it doesnt mount up, supposedly you can cut off two of the legs and use it but its a major hack job. I think you have to flip the rotor too, its way more trouble than its worth, if you need and ZC distributor parts or the the sensor on the exhaust cam (Cylinder position sensor) just ask, I have a bunch of ZC stuff left over.

These are pics of the two intake maniflods, this is the DOHC ZC

This is the D16

Youcan see the difference in the bolt patterns right away. This should clear up any confusion you may have.

Re: A6 intake manifold on DOHC (crxecution)

you have your number mixed up

brown top ZC- 130-135 FLYWHEEL HP
Blacktop ZC- 130 FLYWHEEL HP

which is about 110-115 WHEEL HP aka WHP...

flywheel hp > than WHP...always...

What other fuel rails will bolt up to the ZC intake manifolds?

What other fuel rails will bolt up to the ZC intake manifolds?
The '88-'89 Acura Integra LS (D16A1) fuel rail MIGHT fit the ZC manifold. I only say this because the A1 motor is the US's closest relative to the DOHC ZC.
