I alsways like to have an intake manifold gasket just in case the one on there doesn't come off nice.....if you take the intake mani off....I do it makes things easier....just make sure you get the surfaces really clean otherwise your idle will bounce all over the place

Same goes for the Exhaust....

I found its easy to leave the Intake manifold and Exhaust Manifold still in the car, so you don't have to worry about re-hooking up 500 vaccuum lines https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif

both of those gaskets are cheap and should save you some head ache...just find something to support the intake and exhaust so you don't break any hoses or what not

I JUST got done doing this on my mazda...you'll have fun https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif take your time and do it right and have fun learning!

well i think im going to have to take the head to get check to see if its warped or not, so the intake and the exhaust will have to come off.

Just pick up a complete gasket set. It will perform miracles in the future. usually when re-doing a head gasket, it requires a head set but for a couple more dollars, you can pick up a complete set and have it there as spares. Trust me, I might be a NOOB to this forum but ive been building engines at the machine shop for about 8 years now and it doesnt fail when kids come back and say, "I SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO YOU. I TRIED BUYING INJECTOR SEALS AND THEY ARE ALMOST $30 ALONE." lmao. I think I have 2 D16A6/ZC gasket sets at the shop. PM or email me if you need it. Ill double check though.

Kit includes:
Cylinder Head Gasket (new style)
P/N 12251-p01-004, H/C 4489530
and
Cylinder Head Bolts
(10 required, use with new-style gasket) these are spiral shaft to prevent stretching and are re-useable
