im not to much king with d series but i believe thats when your gas starts to pump in your cylinder causing a chain reaction with combustion and your intake and exaust valves open and close from your cams and rebound with springs and then your cams turn from your crank shaft which is called timing and the it moves your pistons up and down repeating the whole process.. just couple rps faster https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emwink.gif if you want to konw more i can tell you for just 5.99 a month

first check your basic shits.

timing
plugs
plug wires
dizzy.

go from there.

Basic tune up, replace fuel filter. Get some injector cleaner in that gas, just to help it out.

what intake manifold are you running? if they used the stock dx manfiold dpfi thats why. if they converted it to obd1 then there is definitly a problem.
