90 ef hatch h22 project COMPLETE!!!!
Ok so this kid me and my brother know wants us to do a swap for him.he wants his jdm h22 swap in his 90 ef hatch, for those who dont know its not a hard swap to do but it is pretty rare and does have some difficulties.when the hatch came over it was still a duel point virgin.so we had to rip the inside apart to put a si cab harness in it.i have plenty of pictures and will lable every pic so enjoy the pics and give us some feedback.thanks honda-tech.

Re: 90 ef hatch h22 project COMPLETE!!!!
what year and model did you get the tranny shift cables from?
all from a prelude?
man make a parts list you used lol.
good post and good pics.
bet that car is real quick now.
did you change out the front shocks and springs to compensate for the weight of the h22?
if i keep this crx i plan on going h22.
then mabe i can hit 14s in the 1/4 hah

but thanks man and ya it is now thats the motor is broke in the kid said its alot of fun.
but no the only thing that was swapped out was the front spindles so that the axles would fit.
but im thinking it will run a mid 13 maybe high 13 cause every crx that i have had with a fresh b16 swap has put down 14's and this is a bigger motor with way more torque.but when we get it to the track ill let you know

So swapping out the cab harness is a nessesity or what? I thought they make conversion harnesses to compensate for the plug differences..... Excellent job well done though. One day I plan on doing an h-b so i dont have to compromise the floor of my car.... something bout cutting it up just makes me nervous. Also if i keep this crx i plan on going h22.
then mabe i can hit 14s in the 1/4 hah
Yould should easily be able to do that with a b swap even an ls. an h22 will put you in the 13's and h-b will put you almost in the 12's if you can drive slicks and your sure to be there on a stock swap with a b tranny

Re: 90 ef hatch h22 project COMPLETE!!!!
swap looks good. could have spent a lil more time with metal prep.. i would have spent 10 bucks and got a spot weld bit and saved a **** ton of work.. and deff would have plug welded the new mount.. other than that great job man

thanks for the imput guys and im not sure maybe they do make harness attachments but the kid already had the si cab harness so i figured why not just swap it out.but ya ive heard the same thing about the h to b tranny swap and i understand were you are coming from it killed me to hack up the hatch cause im very fond of ef's and personally i dont like h series but it was for money and ive never dont one of these swaps and ive never seen one in real life either.but thanks guys and ill try and get some videos up of when we take it to the track
