ok well so my girlfriends car has been having some problems lately.
i dont know what exact motoris in it.. just the 1.5? and well it had some problems with staying running and dieing every now and then. when it dies it the ecu throws code 15. we've replaced fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs wires cap rotor ignition coil and it just wont stay running. any ideas? code 15 says in the haynes book. could be igniter..isnt that the coil? or is it something seperate in the dizzy?

does it die after getting hot? it does sound like a bad dizzy and or igniter. you can test that igniter at autozone

The ignitor is not the same thing as a coil. You'll more than likely need to replace the entire distributor if you can't find an ignitor by itself to replace yours/hers with.

yah, my boys car was doin that same **** as well. i pulled the motor to put on a new trans(the lazy method, less strain) and i tried extending the plug onto its perch clip(or mounting point) and might have extended the wires a little to much, i removed the screw checked the connections and pushed the wires a little more into their ports. started it up n it ran!
