89 honda with mini me swap
I have a 89 civic lx with a 93 mini me swap.
the camshaft froze up and i bought a new head and rebuilt the lower end. At first it wouldnt start so i replaced the main relay and its fine, but now it wont idle at all and im not sure if im pluggin in the wrong connector to the IAC or if the IAC is bad. The person who did the swap before me used the stock d15b2 engine harness and distributor and wired in the connectors for the intake and injectors. This thing is all messed up and im not sure where to start. PLEASE HELP!!!!!! |

Re: 89 honda with mini me swap
what ecu are you using? any cel codes coming on?

Re: 89 honda with mini me swap
Was it already a mini me when you bought it? If so you need to check your timing, both cam and ignition, and check for vacuum leaks. Won't idle at all? is it rough? High? Hard to start?

Re: 89 honda with mini me swap
Is was a mini me non-vtec and I rebuilt the whole engine and put a vtec head on it. I timed it before I put the engine inand it runs good it just won't idle. To get it to start I have to push the accelerator so I think it's the iac but not sure.

Gaping vacuum leak?

Re: 89 honda with mini me swap
if it was a vacuum leak i would think that it would still idle just really high

Re: 89 honda with mini me swap
