Where did you get the tripper? Cost? And how much did you use? I bought a can of the spray stripper. It took 3 tries (Due to multiple coats of paint) to get it all off my valve cover, but I can't complain for $5 or so. Just wondering how the higher grade stuff works.

12$ oriellys I put it in a spray bottle since I didn't have any chem resistant brush. Took less than 10 min. I have plenty left over

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
FINALLY!!! some one who understands going boost without learning the handling of a car is a bad idea on the circuit.... Just because your car has 500whp doesn't mean you're fast on the track especially if you can't DRIVE that power! People don't really think about what they build. Straight line = fast car / circuit track = fast driver. It all depends what I can do with it all motor first and maybe I won't even go FI at all and just keep her all motor and run her that way.

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
i would disagree
i don't understand your rational. You're basically going to have to relearn your car all over again on the track. Yeah you'll learn the limits of your car being slow, but once you add more power, you'll reach your limits faster and have to relearn everything again. With a properly sized turbo, power delivery can be almost as predictable as a NA car. How much power are you trying to run at the track? Personally, would have skipped the NA build and went straight to turbo. Best way to learn your car, NA or FI, is to drive it. Do a couple auto-x's to get a feel, then hit the track. At least that's what I did.

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
After looking at your numbers on your car it seems to me we have a big difference on what boosting a car is. Id much rather boost a car out of limits of all motor capabilities. yes i COULD throw my turbo setup on right now and be well within if not over your numbers BUT those are too low for me on a boost build NO OFFENSE but without sleeves and extensive tuning id be at risk of horrible longevity. this is a distance run for me not a weekend fling. So again ill run all motor for a few years get my feet wet and if when i do decide to step it up a notch (which i doubt) ill piece together a well designed engine by me.

Re: 88 CRX BUILD
So you agree my setup as stated on my build sheet page 1 will be harder to drive... My whole argument was argued for me. Thanks for understanding.
