Alright fellas, we started cracking into it today until the clouds burned off. Have everything disconnected and ready to pull this evening. The GSR won't be going in for a couple more weeks, waiting on my brother-in-law to scrape together the cash for the engine redress and the rest of the swap list.

Enjoi

And now for the transplant

Should have a pic or two up later once the D15 is out. Also, if anyone needs any parts, hit me up. Complete A/C, PS, Alt, etc. Looking for B series parts.

Nice pick up, why not try to replace the tbelt and see if it runs! It's worked for me before!
his door panels are black, with grey inserts. so it means its black.

nope, his interior is completely grey, not black, US RED LX sedans didn't come with black interior, maybe in other countries, but not the US.

Yep, interior is grey and blue. And no, it was Dual Point. Going to have to upgrade the harness and fuel system to handle MPFI for the swap.

Okay, as this is my first B swap (I'm a long-time Accord/Prelude guy) you'll be seeing several tech related questions come. What harness can and should I use for this? Should I just grab the Rywire swap harness? ---> http://rywire.com/store/8891-crxcivi...b18c-p-72.html

I'm assuming I will still have to upgrade to MPFI prior to using this harness?

Anyway, back out the door to finish pulling the D.

It's 12:45A here in Austin.... D15 is sitting in the garage

Pics up tomorrow. Going to convert to manual rack and finish removing A/C stuff. Then start on tucking the headlight harnesses and a general cleanup of the bay. Should be about another month till she rolls, money being the only barrier.

Yeah, we tossed around the idea of possibly selling the hydro tranny and going with a cable and LSD but decided it'd be a better performer all around with the hydro tranny.

Maybe someone here can help me, this Y80 is a manual tranny correct? I'm used to the cable trannie's on the F22's and this one only resembles that in shape. Not sure where the shift linkage on a hydro connects to the tranny.... fawking n00b

lo..yeah bro its stick..if it wasn't stick it would have 2 giant solenoids sitting on top of the tranny..the linkage hooks up behind the tranny you should see a little pipe looking thing with a hole in the center, that's where it hooks up..lol

Thanks luna, and I did see the "pipe looking thing" before and assumed it was a MT. Not enough connections for an Auto on the bell housing as well.

And hatch kid, the block's good but shipping might kill you. Throw me an offer on anything you see, just want to get it out of here and have something to put back into the build.

Pics of all parts for sale will be up in an associated thread later today. Keep an eye on my sig for that link.

Nice find bro! I've got to admit, sedans have been slowly growing on me GL with the build.

Alright, motor is out and front end is stripped. I went ahead and pulled the A/C stuff, just need to finish converting to the manual rack and removing the excess PS lines. A good cleaning of the bay next and hopefully start tucking tonight.

****, come on over man. I'm about a mile up from Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Just trying to build a sick daily

As for the harness, is that Rywire harness all I need? Or will I use that in conjunction with the existing harness? If I have to use the existing harness, I need to get to work on converting the fuel system.

If I can ditch the factory harness, let me know ASAP. Cleaning/Shaving the bay tonight and I'd like to pull it out if I can.

The kid I bought it off of said the A/C worked great. Still had a full charge to drain before pulling the motor so no leaks in the lines.

And thanks for the EF love, glad to inspire. Though I'm not sure I can claim that yet since I've never even seen it in motion But hopes are high
