1991 Civic DX - Starts but doesn't keep running
Hey Guys,
Firstly, thanks for everyone who helped me find the PROPER CRX shop manual (from the UK) site, that was really cool.
I was driving about 3 weeks ago and suddenly the car lost power, stuttered and came to a proud halt. lol
The Car seems to 'start' for about 1/2-1 second before stopping again. Once I had a had a look under the hood found a couple things.
1) Valve cover stiff and failure - HAS BEEN REPLACED
2) Spark Plugs were visibly aged - REPLACED
3) The timing belt was replaced 6 years ago..but only 7000km ago...so should be okay, and the markings are well lined...MIGHT be out by a tooth.
4) Fuel in the cylinder....once syphoned, we figured the lower injector had failed. BOTH injectors have been replaced.
So the car STILL starts...but won't run/keep running. Should i be getting a injector Diode and having a look at the pulse? Should i be adjusting the timing by a tooth? For the love of me I just can't figure this out...
