Some one please help this guy! And me also I am going throught a somewhat similar situation. My car will not start unless I spray starting fluid or gas into the throttle body! Then it dies! I got it to crank four times. When it did it ran at wide open throttle! My dude said that it wasn't getting enough gas through the injectors. I bought two new ones cause almost everything is new anyway! Still will not crank unless you spray. I have checked everything from the other systems and the gas has to be the culprit. New tank, new fuel pump, new injectors, fuel filter, and hoses. What could be wrong? DPFI

I had the same situation. If you hear the relay clicking and the fuel pump hum for 2 seconds, the engine is getting fuel. Long story how I found the problem but try this. Remove the main inj electric connector. Try to start engine. If It starts, engine is running on aux inj. ][max rpm 3500] ECU is supposed to give code 16 and switch to aux inj. Mine didn't. With engine running on aux, reconnect main. Step on gas pedal, if engine stalls, ECU pins 3 and 4 are not sending current signals to main inj. ECU is bad.
If it's your problem learn from my mistakes. Don't buy a $59 ECU off ebay. If they can't guarantee the ecu came off a running wrecked car, don't buy it.
And don't buy from discountautoparts.com Their site says it is in stock. It's not [they ordered it from Cardone and I paid for 2 day air, got it in 5 days and They won't return the core fee. I reported them to NJ consumer affairs
Order the 'cardone' rebuilt/tested unit at autozone

So you've checked these things?
Main relay
fuel filter
fuel pressure regulator
fuel pump
and you know the pump is working, since you went out and bought a new one...
Key in ignition, turn to the second spot, hear a whirr, and a click as the check engine light goes out... they are rather loud noises, check for them.
undo the connection between the fuel rail and fuel line, try turning the car over, fuel spray?
we're assuming you're running DPFI btw.

Think back have you hit any big pot holes, bottomed out, or lifted the car with a jack before the problem started? if so it could be a crushed fuel line.

Another thing I dont think was mentioned is to make sure there is fuel in the tank (even if the gauge is reading a fuel level). Then lift the car look at the lines look for crushes lines if no crushes lines then there has to be a clog in the lines. but either way they will need to be replaced.
