1989 Crx starting issue.
Hello! I'm not sure if this has been done to death or not, but I've been having trouble starting an 89 Crx. it has the D15, brand new starter and good battery, with a push button start, but it just won't even turn over. can some tell me the possible causes for it? I'd greatly appreciate it.

There are several variations of D15, that's not very specific.
If you can turn the starter over by jumping it, then it's a good bet the problem is the push button start.
Need a whole lot more information about how things are set up to do more than guess.

I'm not sure the exact engine designation, but she wouldn't even start when trying to push start her

Again, a lot more information is needed. Simply knowing that there is a push to start puts the entire ignition system under suspicion, it doesn't indicate a specific/easy problem.
Pictures of the setup would be ideal.

I'll try to get some pictures as soon as I can. I'm currently at work, and I'm flying out of state tomorrow, but when I get back I'll be sure to take lots of pictures. if you have any questions that could help get a better idea of the situation, please do ask!

I am interpreting "It won't turn over" to mean that you starter doesn't even crank the engine over.
If this is the case, do you get any clicking sounds from the starter when you turn the key to 'start'?
If not, begin with checking fuses, verify voltages at the starter, and then bench testing the starter

Sounds like a bad ignition switch. Test to verify.

someone put in an aftermarket push button start? i think you're screwed on your wiring but
first thing you want to do is when you turn the key listen for the hum of the fuel pump.. it should run for about 10 seconds or less
if you don't hear the hum it is most likely the main relay
second you want to check all of your fuses by pulling them one at a time and visually inspecting them
the ones under the dash and the ones under the hood
next use a volt meter and make sure the battery is charged and showing over 12volts it should be about 12.8 fully charged
some people have suggested jumping the starter that might be a possibility but not if you aren't getting fuel and not if your coil isn't getting power
