It was only the wire colors that didn't match up. I don't know off hand which they were but this wiring chart should tell you. Just look at the wire colors and see which aren't the same

does the fuel gauge work? someone said that you have to change the tank sender unit from a integra. also does it scres right into the sh3 gauge mounts or are you using mounts from the civic si?

The fuel guage works ( I have no gas in my car thats why it looks like its on E) Its the low fuel warning light that doesn't work because the crx doesn't have the low fuel sensor in the tank. You can install one from an integra and just wire it up to the cluster in pin location A8.

The cluster is just sitting in there. It is not bolted down. All you have to do is remove the 2 metal mounting brakets from inside the cluster bowl and place the cluster in and then slide the guage cover over it. The guage cover will hold the cluster in place, it is a very snug fit. The cluster didn't move around or rattle when I drove the car around the block. If you want, you can drill 2 holes in the roof of the guage cover and put 2 screws into the civic cluster mounting tabs, just make sure they are lined up properly.

91 crx Si. The wiring is the same for all 90-91 models. If you wanted to put it in an 88-89 you would need a 90-91 guage hood. I am still working on the wiring it is pretty similar to the 90-91 alot of the colors are the same but the pin locations are different.

Ya know Im not to sure about the civic. I would assume it would fit in the 90-91 civic hood since it is rounder and has more room. It may not fit the same but the wiring is the same. The only real way to tell is try it out for your self. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

More rounder than what? The 88-89 yes but not more rounder than the 90-91 CRX.

That is what I meant. rounder then the 88-89 guage hood. I would assume the 90-91 civic guage hood and the 90-91 crx hood are similar in size or are the same thing. Can anyone clarify this for me?

Yeah OK, that's what i thought you meant!

And I do not think it would work in a 90-91 civic gauge hood because all though it is rounder than the 88-89, it's still 'flat' on the top. I believe this will only work in the 90-91 CRX gauge hood.
