He says it's from Japan, but it's not. It's a Canadian EM1 SiR cluster.

The JDM EK4 SiR cluster looks completely different.

jus curious on how you are going about swapping the odometer unit of your old cluster to put on the new SI one so you have your correct mileage on it

Once my Vss gets here it will be in give me a few more days and I should have it up and running. I have some wiring info but i just need to upload some pics and I will post that up asap. I am not to worried about correct mileage since I plan on keeping the car forever.

how are you going to wire in the vss? Is this even possible? They are totally differnt, , considering 1 is a cable and one is a plug. Looks dope though very impressive.

To wire in the vss. You need to take out your cable driven vss in the tranny. And replace it with a 92+ civic or 94+ integra electronic vss with the 3 wire plug. ANd wire it up power ground and signal. Its easy.!

Btw. I was the one who wrote up the integra cluster swap. I was actaully going to do a si cluster in my car. But I sold it and just put the gsr one in.

Yes you have to use an electronic VSS from a 92- civic or a 94- teg. From what i have read it is easy to wire up. I will soon find out.

Hey Ghettocrxsi I have to thank you for your write up on the teg cluster I used it as a guide.

i had the same idea, have the new plugs and gauge cluster sitting in my room just waiting. i did a test fit on my 89 si and it was coming up short, just need to pick up the VSS and the 90-91 cluster surrounda and try another test fit.

so how are you actually securing the cluster to the dash?

Bump for editing. I was originally using 88-89 Si clips but the wire placement was different then the 90-91 So I changed the clip pics for the 90-91 clips and everything should be fine now.
