thanks for the how to! i have had this lip for a while and haven't put it on because i was unsure how to mount it and what needed to be modified.
i did a test fit and the front part of the lip stuck out from the bumper about an inch. so i think the way you mounted it should pull it close to the bumper.

It was the same way on mine.. i don't think it hung out quite an inch, but I pushed it in as far as I wanted it before I drilled the holes in it to mount to the brackets. They definitely pulled the middle of the lip in. Good luck with yours

Dude this is a good post I was iffy at first about them password lips, I had to take of the 1 that was on there cause i guess he had it towed or something it was broken right where the hooks are so i just took it off it looked gay all broke, but your lip looks very very nice to me I was kinda worried about it being to far to the ground and with the horrible terrain here and all...but those are sick...If I was smart id prolly raise it up a bit but dam I seen a few round town and wheel gap just looks so dam ugly to me the dropped stance is the only way I can roll ...need some of them Koni 5 way adjustables but dam those will put a dent in a young mans pocket like myself...anyways yea killer post keep bumping this jewel

They do have a small lip (or tab) that goes into the foglight areas. You can see it in this picture:
It MIGHT fit on the 88-89 fronts if you trim these off, but I honestly have NO idea.

Looks to be the same lip in this thread trimmed down to fit. If anyone out there's done this to an 89 Si Hatchback let me know lol. Looking to do this soon, but I wouldn't mind rocking the 89 Si lip for a while longer ;P.

I'm pretty sure the white hatch has the EF9 front lip modded to fit. It looks bigger/lower than the one I have. I picked up an EF9 one for a friend of mine at the same time I got mine, and noticed it was fatter than the EF8, and the tab that goes into the grill section on the EF9 lip is raised up higher from the rest of the lip, than the EF8 one is.

now i got a question for you. d you have stock bumber and fenders? cause i noticed you have the jdm sir hood too, so did you get new fenders and buber or is it all usdm?

I'm not sure what you mean..? They're stock. They came on the car from Honda back in 1990

I snapped a couple extra pics of the hood since I had a few people ask about it.
It's made by FiberImages. It is made to fit the stock USDM front end, but it bulges UP like the JDM Si-R hood. It also has NO webbing in the center of the hood, to add more clearance

Hey I know this is off topic but you dont have the link for those hoods do you those look damn good and I too cannot stand hood pins and you can hardly ever find a CF hood that doesnt have em :D :D :D ???
