Snow tires.

Re: Snow tires.
Michelin X-ICE tires are great,
Bridgestone Blizzacks are also great.
I've been on both of these, they're on the pricier side.
Less expensive route would be something like Hankook Ipikes. They're not multicell compound like the Blizzacks or X-Ice's, but for the price, they're very good. I never got stuck on the Hankook's either. Actually I've never been stuck in any snow tire really.
Been on many snow tires on various vehicles, Blizzacks WS series, Michelin Xice, Michelin Pilot Alpins, Blizzack LM-22, 25's, Blizzack DM-Z3's, Dunlop Graspics, Dunlop Wintersports M3's, Yokohama Ice Guards IG20's, Hankook Icebears, Hankook iPikes, etc.
Most snow tires will do the job pretty well, it depends on your budget, and what kind of snow conditions you're really driving in.
I hear Nokian's are outerworldly, I've never tried those.
