2008 CRV Wheels on a 2019 CRV
Hi,
My 2008 CRV LX was caught up in the excessive frame corrosion recall here in Canada. I just purchased a 2019 CRV LX.
When the 2008 was turned in, thankfully it had the rusted steel wheels. I had the Honda CRV Enkei 7-spoke alloys in storage, which I had purchased on my own for a second set of wheels for summer months. The steel wheels were for winter tires.
I was going to sell them and then purchase a second set of wheels for the 2019 for winter tires. However, I am now wondering if the old Enkei alloys will work on the 2019. I cant get a 100% reliable answer from anyone. Dealer says they should work.
2008 wheels are 17" x 6 1/2" uses 225/65R17
2019 wheels are 17" x 7 1/2" and uses 235/65R17
As far as I can tell, center bore, bolt pattern and thread size are all the same.
2019 offset says 45 while the 2008 was 50, though not sure if that's the OEM wheel design or a requirement.
Only other thing to figure out is if the Enkei load rating will work for the 2019.
Anyone give advice? Can I reuse these wheels? Will I need to use rings to make it hubcentric? Can I use 235/65R17 on them or should I stick with 225/65R17 on those 2008 wheels?
If I can use them, may even get them powder coated black
Thanks.

Sounds like they should bolt right up, just will be slightly narrower. Not sure on load rating tho.... Diameter and sidewall match so...
