Re: 2002-2006 Honda CRV Performance Thread
Hi Everyone,
Need your help.
Where can I get this item as initially posted by norcalem2.
SWAY BAR
ADDCO 2002-2006 HONDA CRV - REAR SWAY BAR (7/8" DIAMETER)
2339
I tried to search it in Google and eventually pointed me to "sdtrucksprings.com", unfortunately, nothing for my 2005 Honda CR-V.
Please provide website where can I order it online.
Thanks in advance...

Re: 2002-2006 Honda CRV Performance Thread
Hello -
Thanks for this very informative thread. I am doing some chassis and suspension work on my 2005 CR-V. I am interested in the Neuspeed 35.20.75 strut tower brace. However, I have not found any photos of this installed on the car. Would anyone have a photo to share? I am curious about the tabs for the mounting of the cruise control unit; the factory brace has tabs for it.

By all means, any method that’s convenient for you will work for me. I would very much like to see the picture. Also, did you feel a noticeable improvement after installing the strut tower brace? Have you done other chassis/suspension tuning you don’t mind sharing?

Techna Fit Steel Brake Lines - Can´t seem to find the CR-V 05-06 lines anymore?
Are they no longer available?
Any one know of any other brand who makes them?

Re: 2002-2006 Honda CRV Performance Thread
Techna Fit had some issue with their product, I had the lines on my car and got some mail or something about the problem. I like mine but probably would search out another brand or look hard to make sure no issues are still present.

Anyone that is running the header what cat backexhaust are you running? Is there a significant enough of a power increase to consider it? For instance, intake, header, exhaust and some sort of software flash is worth what? Thanks

Unfortunately not much support for aftermarket parts on the second gen CRV. Without any ecu upgrade ( no k-pro/k-tuner for crv), gains will be minimal. Might be worth doing header and 2.5'' mendrel bent exhaust but other than that we're quite limited. I wanted to swap a k24a2 engine(tsx) in mine but gave up as its never been before and no solution available for the ecu, so i ended up getting an ek civic and swapping the tsx engine in there instead.

[QUOTE=powerfulperformance;51513153]I have a 2003 Crv manual and K PRO works in my Crv
First, it's probably a good idea to do the thing you expect to do before being self righteous about it. You know, comment on personal experience, [rather] than just assumptions, lest you come across hypocritical. Second, your car is a manual and the tuner stuff is available for that.
Many of us have tried to go down the tsx motor route with our automatic second generation vehicles, but the solution is not available yet - at least not in a tried and true way that doesn't leave you with the potential to be sitting on a costly mistake.
Here's a link to what I have found when I tried looking into it. http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2948202

Good to know !! let us know when you're done your swap. There's no application for the 2nd gen crv on the hondata webstite, so i figure the manufacture would know what works for us

FYI they said they will look into it. I have personally emailed with picture of our ecu and the internals and also a ktuner compatible accord ecu. Side by side they look the same. The crv ecu can be socketed. I have a greddy turbo charger off an Ep3 and bc stage 2 camshaft ready to go in once they give the okay.

They said they would look into it for me too, as of January 2016, so I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything quick.
I can't get your crv owners club link to work.

I went with:
1. Koni Sport adjustable set (front cartridge) - trying the current settings front quarter turn stiff and rear full turn, will appreciate any good inputs from others with experience as the rears are a pain to adjust
2. Eibach sport pro kit - I measured, and confirmed it dropped the front 1.5" and rear 1". I like that it looks very subtle
3. SPC rear upper adjustable arm - did actually adjust to shorten arm length compared to fixed factory to maintain -1.0deg camber
4. SPC camber cam bolts - put -1.0deg camber to the front
5. Whiteline adjustable sway bar links to keep the sway bars at their effective orientation
6. Whiteline castor correction compliance bushing +0.5deg
7. Neuspeed strut tower brace
I can feel the rear significantly more than before, but there is room to push more - might try bigger sway bars in the rear, possibly 2004 model year's
I have attached a couple of photos. Left Rear suspension showing Koni adjustable, Eibach springs, SPC adjustable upper arm and Whiteline adjustable sway bar link

Just an update here..
Found three British companies that makes braided brake lines, Wezmoto, Hel and Racetec.
Have Racetec on my Civic and they are great but choose to go for Wezmoto in this case as they were willing to extend the brake lines to compensate the 30mm lift on the V, for no additional cost

That’s awesome to know they’ll make brake lines and even extend them. Did you have concerns with the brake lines being too short with a 30mm lift?

Not a problem really, they still got but pretty snug.
Feels better to be on the "right" side so asked for 2cm extension of the lines.
Should be better
