2001 Honda CRV won’t start when Humid
Hi all,
Been reading through a lot of forums offering possible answers to this problem but no real fixed. hoping for feedback from people who know way more about cars than myself.
I have an 01’ Honda CRV with 150K miles on it. The car will not start when it humid outside or raining. It will crank but not ignite. i had it towed last time it happened but the mechanic couldn’t get to me car until the next day and it started right up. all lights and devices have power. after trying to start the car for about 10 minutes i got out and it smells like gasoline.
any help appreciated!

I am thinking you may have some spark arcing possibly in the spark plug coil packs, you could test this by starting your crv on a fine day and then using a spray bottle and spraying water at your coil packs and other ignition components , or have someone look under the hood while you crank the engine on a damp day and if you see a spark arcing or it stalls when spraying water on the running engine you'll know where to begin. if you find spark arcing then you could try wrapping electrical tape around the affected area as a temp fix.
