for 55 shot, you should be fine with stock NGK plugs. Just make sure that they are clean and not corroded and nasty. if you plan on going to 75 make sure you retard your timing 4 degrees.
If you want to get new plugs, just get 1 or 2 step colder NGK spark plugs. No need to spend $50 on some denso iridium. Denso's are good but they are not that MUCH better. Just get the NGK's. Or if not get the Zex Plugs... Both work well.
I've used nitrous on NGK plugs - 75 shot no problems. Couple things to watch out for, always double check everything and see if they are plugged in and hooked up correctly. I dont know if you swapped your engine or not but make sure its the B-series fuel pump or a walbro 255lph... I would hate to see you blow a B-series on ONLY 75 shot. Other than that you should be fine. Just dont be stupid with nitrous...

Funny you should ask this question, as i just got back from running at the dragstrip with a 55 shot of ZEX for the first time. (5 passes total)
As long as you are using 92+ octane fuel, you should be fine using stock heat range plugs, and ignition timing.
