ZC's
What's up with this motor (ZC DOHC) - I searched ZC in bodies and titles in both recent and archived content..where can I find info about this motor? I've never even heard of it up until like a month ago... Why is it so rare? What car did it come in? Is it any good? Any info or place where I can read up about this motor would be very much appreciated..
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: ZC's (Syndacate)
it came in japan only and its a dohc non v-tec. it is also obd0 so not many people put obd0 in newer cars but it came in the crx and civics so efs but it is very cheap and you can use the stock d serese trans so its more of a buget type motor there also is not much after market suport.

Yeah, I did hear that they came in both SOHC and DOHC (think u made a typo and ur first DOHC was suppposed to be SOHC)
In any event, how much power does it throw around? I'ma assume something like 160hp or 140-150 with basic I/H/E at the wheels?

Here you go. Just go down the list and you will see the OBD1 DOHC ZC for sale.
Also they pump around 128 give or take a few, really not worth it IMO. Just go for a SOHC VTEC swap if you are on a budget and call it a day. No need to look around for parts and less hassle. Good Luck.

ZC's are the ****.....To tell you the truth the zc single cam halls ***** and i would much rather have that in my car than a us spec sohc. Wouldn't feel the same way about dohc zc's, and all bolt on for sohc match zc's as well. my zc hasn't let me down and i smash on b16's and ls's all day long

My buddy had one of these in his ef. Not a bad motor, quite torquey. However, I think all the good ones were already bought up so anything you get now would probably be bottom of the barrel.
