hmmm, i was thinking of doing a dohc zc swap on my cousins 5g eg del sol s, i was just wondering if it would bolt on perfect on the second and third gen. also if the 93 del sol s has an 92-95 3rd gen zc dohc would it pass CA SMOG emmisions or what about the second gen?
- but the question is that what would be the best pick? a dohc zc 130-138 hp or a single cam d16z6 vtec engine with 128 hp? both d series so tranny will bolt on? ???front motor mount? and wiring if not gen 3 obd 1? any help??? and i know B series is a way better route, so don't hate on what he choose, hes not spending alot of money on this project. any suggestions comments????

in my opinion i'd go with the d16z6. it's a straight drop. but if he's eventually gonna boost it go zc. hp were slightly off...d16z6 is 125.....zc is 129. i've had both and felt the sohc a little stronger. my 2 cents.

go w/ the d16 there are more parts out there,and the zc is not going to pass emissions (i know that the zc is a jdm or euro motor, but you can't ref a non u.s. motor can you? plus the motor has to be of the same year or newer and they stopped making zc's in like 90-91 right?)

well theres a third gen dohc which is from 92-95 which came out in the odd models of the civics and integras I heard and has a OBD 1. ?????????????????????
