ZC questions, ecu chipped and remapped
zc/ex trans
fuel rail
test pipe
chipped ecu mapped as a b16
short shift
....some odds an ends in the clutch lmao. it grabs to say the least
bitch has no redline now with the ecu as is and was wundering whats a safe rpm to consider my redline point so i dont inadvertantly blow my **** apart. not but so familiar with the d series. has an si cluster where redline is marked somewheres around 8k, i know damn well i shouldnt take a d series to 8k
vtec kicks at 5k...

im not too sure why vtec would kick in period, the zc engine is non vtec right...and why would you run the motor on b16 maps. Get maps for the zc

Re: (hondaman1212)
correct, and as far as mapped to a b16...you would have to ask previouse owner, perhase they thought they would gain something from it

Re: (hondaman1212)
it runs great other than not having a redline.
ide go stock but i like the benifit of it being chipped....just not sure what to think about the b16 part..why would someone do that or if anyone really did and the guy i got it from just got ripped.
either way i dont have a redline, so whats a safe place to consider the stopping point in rpms in the mean time till i get around to putting in a stock ecu
also vtec at 5k? just doesnt seem right, i mean most d redline just after 6k however i know nothing about the sohc zc. thought about a vtec controller but figure hell with it sence i dont go racing people anyways
EDIT: texted the former owner about this b16 biz and his answer was this
ME: whats the deal with the b16 mapping...or just the ecu in general? along with that spare u gave me
HIM: its not now, i had the p06 chipped with p28 basemap. is chipped with chrome. vtec at 5k and i think a 7400 rev...idk though. but its running stock basemap. i had it on there but it was running way to rich so i had to make a change.
guess i didnt update forsale thread afterward
