ZC IDENTIFICATION! [HELP]
ive given up!
guy said d15y8 or d16y8 (cant remember) but i know for sure y8 head.
"ZC" stamped on block
can it be a ...
d15b vtec with a d16y8 head?
d15b (3 stage vtec) with a y8 head?
found what looks to be 2 vtec solenoids below the dizzy/ top of transmission (thats what made me think 3 stage) when at about 2000rpms and i gas it my car jumps a good foot or so and i fly. so i was thinking that was the "wild" cam lobe? am i right?
are d15b 3 stage vtec's stamped zc? i know the d15b vtec is stamped zc...

It's a ZC. D15Bs are stamped *gasp* D15B!
As far as what ZC take a pic and post it, there were at least 5 different versions, none of them being a 3 stage vtec setup.
D15B Vtecs are not stamped ZC, I don't know who told you that or how you came to that conclusion but there's absolutely no truth to it.

Lol wtf the solanoids on the tranny r not vtec vtec is on the head and not on the trqnsmission

ZC is stamped ZC. You can look on the head where the head / exhaust manifold is. there should be a circle stamped with a number. This should tell you what year. I have a ZC stamped 93. Also you can check the number stamped under ZC there are references that will tell you what car it came from and more info by whats stamped on those numbers. Good luck (I needed it with my ZC)
