z6swap, tranny wont rev high
hey guys,
got my z6 swapped into my 93 LX. first off the info:
the car is a 93 LX automatic, had a d15b7 motor factory. p06 ecu.
anyways, now it has the same tranny, but a d16z6 with a auto p28 ecu. problems im having:
1st gear (when in D3 or D4) shifts at 52-5400rpm under full throttle. 2nd gear shifts at 6k. this is the same, even when car is warmed and drove around for an hour. when put into 1, it will go all the way and peg rev limit at 72-7500rpm. when put into "2" and floored, it shifts into third gear at 6k (yes, in "2", i did not move it into D3).
vtec kicks in around 5100 or so, possibly 5200. but my tranny for the love of it, wont go past 5400 in 1st (when in d3, d4 and floored) and past 6k in 2nd. and it also shifts into 3rd when its in "2".
any ideas?
with the d15b7 motor, in d3/d4 when i floored it, it would go to 6800 or so, and if it was in "2" it would not shift out until i put it into d3.

helms says that the tranny should hold second gear (when in "2") until put into D3. it does not hold 2nd, and will shift at 6k.
