Default z6 mated to zc block

Just picked up a z6 vtec head for $70 and it looks like it's in pretty good shape. Would I have to get this thing rebuild or can I just drop it in no problem? The guy had it on his ef hatch which was working at the time and then he got into an accident and pulled the motor out so that's why I have the head now. Any suggestions?

I have learned that the best thing is to send any head that I get to a machine shop for:new valve seals, resurface(which yours needs) check for warpage and refreshed.
I used to slap heads on blocks but got tired of redoing the work.

Re size those pictures!

But, I agree with him. Take it in, and have them give it a once over. It's better to do it now, than in 6 months, or right after you get the car running.

CooL, I'll definitely consider taking the head to the shop and get it redone. How much does it usually cost to get it rebuilt? I live in Sacramento CA if that helps.

JUst thought I'd point out that's not a Z6 head, it's a Z1.

The dead giveaway is the vtec-e heads are the only SOHC motors with roller rockers
