z6 help for my sol
really just need some clarification cuz been sittin around readin a lot and a lotta things dont add up
1. so for my del sol s im plannin on yankin out the d15b7 and swappin in a d16z6 but i want to go all motor with the z6 so i was plannin on swappin to a y8 head so yes essentially it be a d16y8 now that the comp ratio is almost 10:1 what else can i do to pump that up and get more power what ive been hearing is that i can use itr cams but i am lookin at that in disbelief.
2. for the d15b7 i was actually gonna do a minime with the z6 head my question about that one is would it be pullin the same specs as a d15b vtec? better? worse? also would it be better to do a minime or have the d16y8?
3. lastly got a b18a1 that i plan to do an lsvtec on. i am pretty sure i can put on a b16 head if i am not mistaken. if not i was gonna go find one off an itr. what i am wonderin is if the lsvtec would have better specs after bein completely done than the b18c5. so meaning itr intake manifold, pistons, and so on.
ya i kno its a lot but ive been doin a lot a researching and ive run into a wall. oh plz list which number u respondin to so i dont get anymore confused than i am

Re: got some builds going needs help
ill bump this for you on the condition you edit your posting, click edit, then go to advanced fix your title so it reads something like this, "a few questions on swapping a z6 into my del sol" your title is not readable whatsoever i can't answer your questions but i know there are people on here that can. Also try reading your post through a couple times before you just post it most people that can help you won't even read this because the grammar is so bad.

Re: got some builds going needs help
1) You're not going to make much power out of a N/A D-series. And why swap on the Y8 head, when the Z6 is already VTEC? Just for a little higher compression? It's not going to be 10:1 with that combo either, it will be closer to 9.5:1. If you want higher compression, get some higher compression piston. Like with some P29 pistons, you'll be around 12:1 compression. Whoever told you you could use an ITR cam is a moron.
2) You're better off swapping the entire engine, rather than just doing as head swap.
3) Any VTEC B-series head will work; B16A, B16B, B18C1, B18C5. Yes an LS/VTEC can produce more power than a B18C5 engine, it just depends on how it's built and tuned. There are multiple variations of parts that you can use, when it comes to stuff like intake manifolds and pistons, etc. It's all your choice. So some research on what pistons will give you what compression ratio, and choose from there. Different intake manifolds will help give you power in different p arts of your powerband. Do some research on that, and make a choice based on personal preference.

2. im swappin out the d15b7 for the d16 so if ive got the parts to do it already why not. and just tryin to see if it produce the same amount of power as a d15b vtec
3. was really wonderin if oem parts would beable to do it just cuz i wanna rub it in my friends face later if i can
