Ive been looking around online and cant really find an answer... I have a 2000 civic ex 4 door. long story short my head is bad and have an opportunity to get a full z6 head. only reason im really considering it is because i know its good. question is.. what do i have to do to make the y8 intake manifold work on the head. since its a 99-00 intake it has that port in the middle of the runners. anyone that has done it before or knows what to do care to shine some light down for me? it would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know what port you're referring to, but the manifold is a direct swapover, no change needed.

The intake manifold should be of no concern, but you will have problems in the distributor. Only one bolt on the Y8 distributor will match up to the Z6 head and your timing will be incorrect if you do it this way. The best thing to do is take the Z6 distributor and swap all the insides of the Y8 distributor into it, then bolt it onto the head and run it that way; simple plug & play.

He's talking about the FIA valve. Just use a 96-98 intake manifold gasket and you should be set as well as block of that tube with a hose and something to block the hose like a bolt.

I ended up picking up a y8 head. But 96-98. So this still helped a lot! Thank you!!!
