if it won't start then there is no way you are getting consistent spark and fuel. That harness will allow the car to start and run fine, but you will have a code for VTEC once you run the engine above the point where VTEC would engage. Also, if you have a check engine light at this point, use a paper clip to jump your service connector and pull the code by counting the number of long and short flashes your check engine light gives off. Long flashes = 10's short equal = 1's When you figure out your cel issue, wire VTEC from your ecu to the shock tower to get VTEC. Good luck!

the z6 harness will fit. The only plug that wont have a spot is vtec. Check your grounds

True but some of the pins from the z6 harness do not match the chasis harness of the dx at the shock tower so i figure if it is not getting some sensor feedbacck it wont start correectly

Yes, it's the VTEC solenoid and VTEC pressure switch, neither of which would keep your car from starting. Good luck!

What did you do to "build" your engine? At this point there could be multiple issues with the engine. Also I promise that the B7 harness did nothing...it must be some other issue that was fixed when you installed the B7 harness. Who knows, maybe the Z6 harness itself is messed up.
