Z6 dizzy wont fit and time...NEED HELP PLEASE!!! *PICS*
okay i posted earlier about my dizzy not lining up correctly and not timing right. i thought i had the wrong distributor. well after i cleaned it up all that black gunk i found the part number TD42U and according to people on this board and the distributor king website i do have the right one for my engine (D16Z6). So heres the problem again....When i bolt up my distributor, the top tab doesnt line up to the hole....the tab blocks the hole by just a little bit....just enought where i cant get my bolt in but the front and back tabs line up. So i figure, okay just use the two and tighten it good but also....i cant get my car to time right. Its fully advanced and its still a little retarded so it bogs down some in the lower rpms when i drive. Whats going on with my car? I picked up the distributor from some guy and it already had a MSD cap and ignition box that came with it. Could it be from this that i cant time it right? Or is it also possible that i have a Y8 head thats why it doesnt bolt up (not sure if the z6 can be used on the y8 head)? Someone please help me because i'm stumped!!!!
*EDIT* I just wanted to see what you guys thing of my spark plugs. Healthy or not? Also if my car revs up to redline on say...1/2 throttle but starts bogging down (sounds like rev limiting) at about 6K rpms under WOT. Would you say this is TPS sensor?

thats not a z6 head, thats a y8 head if im correct, and if it is, your b7 dizzy should work, but if i remeber the z6 head is a p06, correct?

okay never mind....did a search and this says p08 is indeed a z6 head. p2j is a y8.

with the other bolts loose that won't line up. I would thread that one first then start with the other two if thats your problem.

Thats a simple fix!
Just hit it with a hammer until the holes line up!
I couldnt imagine there is a different sequence that will get them to line up, but stranger things have happened. Try what snooch said and see if things "fall into place" for ya.

That's why this is called Honda-Tech. Hence the word "tech". It means we can provide technical advice so people DO NOT have to go to a mechanic and get charged $50 for something that can be fixed in 2 seconds for FREE. Comprende?

my one reason for suggesting to do it in a different order is because only an o-ring seals it going to the cam. you should easily be able to wiggle it and get the top hole lined up, but leave it totally loose and go from there.
