your RPM at 80mph (include model of car)
Hey guys,
At 80mph, my RPM is at 3.6k
I was wondering what rpms yu guys are at at 80mph.
Also my friend's Celica at 80mph its at about 4.2k,
Maybe someone can correct me on this, I thought the celica
had a more poweful engine (1.8l) and also a higher top speed.
I have a 97 ex btw, gears are shorter than all other civics.

Yeah, D-series. The EX transmission is longer than even an LS integra transmission. B16, GSR, ITR trannies are all a LOT shorter.

Re: (BrokeAssWhiteboy)
80MPH
5th gear
4400 RPM
94 ex coupe
JDM B16a (Sir II)
Sir II tranny w/ Kaaz LSD
205/40/17 (I know, I know... )
EDIT: To the original poster, you definately don't have the shortest gears in the Honda family , and RPMs at a given speed are a function of tire size and gearing, not how powerful an engine is.

Re: (OBD1Kenobe)
Yeah, the engine has nothing to do with it. Even the tire size doesn't matter if you are using your cars speedometer? It doesn't know how fast you are going. It only counts revolutions of the tire. The only factor is the tranny. Correct me if I'm wrong.
