for your beloved honda trannies...
Changing the fluid in my 99 Si shortly, would you guys recomend:
1) Honda MTF
2) Redline
3) GM syncromesh?
4) Other, if so, what?
And why.
Also, if anyone can tell me if using anything other than hondas MTF voids my tranny warranty I would be set, thanks.

Honda MTF is ok.
Redline is good.
GM I have no experience with.
I used Redline Oil mixed with the Lucas stuff. It works great and I have a friend who uses it in his H4 honda

WILL IT AFFECT THE WARRANTY ON THE TRANNY???
Any cons to this stuff? I did read something about how it can increase wear on the syncros, like its kind of a double edge sword, anything to worry about or not?

This was argued heavily a few months ago. Pretty much no buddy knows...Lots of peeps like the GM stuff, but you're always safe with Redline.

honda MTF
Its what came with your car, its whats made for your car. USE IT!!
redline works good aslo, but i had better luck with the OEM stuff.
also i would only use the GM stuff if your gears are grinding.
honda OEM MTF is the best in my opinion even has additives for longer LSD life.

I heard that there really is no point in using the GM Synchromesh unless you have an LSD tranny. With a non-lsd tranny you wont feel much of a difference between GM and MTF.... so i hearrrr

I've got Honda MTF in mine right now, works like a charm. Gonna try GM Syncro next time around. It's a pretty safe bet that you'll be fine with either one.

honda MTF
gm sychromesh
redline
in that order.
if you have a graind/scratch then
gm first
then honda MTF
redline
as far a voiding the warranty, call the dealer you bought the car from, they will be able to tell you. i imagine it WILL viod the warranty. honda always wants you to use honda oem parts.
