Yokohama tires experiences?
Ok, I currently have Yokohama Parada Spec-2 tires on my car and i have nocticed that they are better then what i have had before. my question is that i have been having some wheel hop all the way through 3rd, and i was wondering if anyone has also tried Yokohama Parada Spec-2s and have notices the same problem. Also anyone try Yokohama AVS ES100. by the way im in hawaii so its summer tires all year round.
Aloha and thanks

I am currently on my second set of Parada spec-II's and I love them. They last forever on a light car like a civic, and despite what people say, they are awesome in the rain. They can also be found fairly cheap b/c the design is a few years old, so newer designes are pushed a lot harder. I haven't noticed any wheel hop caused by them. Many people are surprised at how fast I can take corners and my shocks are stock and worn, so they aren't helping anything. (Needless to say I will be upgrading soon ).
.
I'm not sure why they're hoping like that, but it could indicate worn suspension or improper alignment. It's almost a night and day difference once the alignment is properly set by a professional. Another thing to be aware of is the break-in period (not sure how long you've had them). After a week or two they will have had enough heat cycles and will become more grippy.

Polyurethane motor mounts did the most to stop my wheel hop, traction bars did the rest. I used to run ES100's, they were not bad, better than the Kumho 712's I had before, but not as good as the BFG KDW's I'm running now.

If I could afford them, I would have bought KDW's. They're the ballz. I couldn't justify the money for where I was at power-wise, and I got a bitchin deal on the parada's.
