Default Yoko ES100s FYI

Just got a set of these yesterday and they are fowkin sick. Prev tires were Kuhmo 712s.

kinda hurt the wallet though.

Yes they're very nice tires. Can't say I'd prefer them for stickiness over azenis, but the treadwear rating on them is a helluva lot better, and they are only slightly worse traction wise, and about the same price, so they get a big thumbs up from me.

I have the ES100 on my EG and my bro has Azenis on his EK hatch and the biggest difference between the two is the road noise, ES100 is qiuet the Azeniz make a loud humming noise that got annoying qiuckly.

Question: Do the yoks have a "break in" period, or are they pretty much in their ideal state when they brand new?

Fairly sure there is a break in period. Wait for more feedback on this though. I drove them a few hundred miles before messing with them.

I own them but have no idea about a brake in period, I just drove it normally. I don't circuit race just ocassional drag racing.
