Default Yikes, did I redline?

D16z6 in my CX. No tach yet. Today, I revved pretty high, and the engine lost power/took me back down, as if I was about to shift gears. I'm on a VX ecu, I know the cut off is 7k. But damn, I don't think I went that high. Is this what happens when you redline?

Yes and it usually "bounces" off the redline when you stay up there. You need to get a Ex or Lx or Si manual/ auto cluster so you can see your RPM's. They are not entirely acurate but it works. I have a Ex auto cluster in my manual DX...works fine just looks a little goofy.

well even if you hit the vx rev limiter you didn't redline your motor... Z6's redline at 7200... they do start to lose power after 6800 or so. but you can rev it to 72-75.. not that you doing it any good but that's where the ex/si rev-limiter is set.
