Default yes another O2 simulator question.(different from others that i have searched and found)

Well I have a check engine Light on for my auto 98 civic EX. I got the code read and the guy said it was for catalytic converter insufficiency. I had my sensors checked out and supposedly they are fine so it must be my catalytic converter. I read on here you can just do the spark plug Non-fouler trick from auto zone where it extends the sensor away from the direct flow of fumes for cheaper then the ebay ones. Now I have read on here that some will still gets a check engine light because now it will think its to rich/lean or to cold. I have read this but they were all for other cars. also i need the 18MM non-fouler right?

Will this spark plug non-fouler trick work on my car with no probs if it really is the cat? or will i get a light for something else?

thanks!

GL with the fouler but your just masking a big problem that should be taken care of, replacement of the catalytic converter. If the inside of the cat keeps melting and falling apart it could just eventully get clogged and cause poor performance and more problems

remove existing cat, install resonator or test pipe. install anti-fouler and secondary O2 sensor. Drive with no CEL.
if the cat is dieing it will cause more problems that you are going to mask by installing the fouler with the cat in there.
