Default Yeah...so, my exhaust fell off

Long story short, I hit a huge puddle that I didn't see and it ripped my muffler right off of the piping. This is on a 92 Cx hatch. I'm doing a swap to a B18C motor around middle/late june. I want to get the ES oval exhaust because of the look and sound(This is goin pretty sleeper, no big fart cannons or loud exhausts). My question is:
I'm gonna do the ES with custom built 2.5" piping, should I just do this now and get it out of the way or if I do this now will it need to be changed when I get the B18? My concern with doing it now is having a 2.5" exhaust on my little 70HP D15. I believe that would sound like complete ***. So, what are your suggestions?

Chris

do it now, just be sure to add a cat and resonator to the equation so that when you drop the GSR, you wont hear the RAAAASPY sound of an ES

Do it now and add a resonator if you want to keep it quiet.

Might as well do it now.
Hell my exhaust fell of a few months back, only I wasn't too lucky, it took more than it's self along for the ride. 94 Del Sol

Copy/Paste

Well, it happened.
My exhaust fell off last night. It was hanging on at the resonator although what I didn't see was it was worse at the axle portion. I figured I would wait until the end of the month and purchase the Tanabe when I had the cash.

Only real problem is that it took my rear bumper w/ it!!
The right side is unattached from the QP, and it also tore 2 of the screws underneath the tail light. It also tore the left exhaust hanger from the frame, and cracked the unpainted portion of the bumper.
So the estimate comes to $856.00, plus the exhaust.
So after about $1400 or so I should have a new exhaust.

**** happens I guess, and all in the same night as I broke up w/ my girl.

Ok, gonna do it now, I figured I would do it. Now, someone made a comment to the raspiness of the ES exhaust. I was under the impression it was relatively quiet. Is it not? I got a quote today for a resonator, cat, piping and labor at $440. Too expensive? Keep in mind, that's without the muffler. This is the first exhaust I've bought so I have no clue what prices are. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

That's expensive. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=380727 I bought my piping from him and have no complaints. The muffler I used is a Magnaflow 4x9. It's loud, but bearable once it's broken-in and you adjust to the new tone. Put a resonator on if you want that extra quietness.
