Yakima roof rack making my door leak.
Just installed my Yakima roof rack a couple days ago on my 98 Civic coupe, and I took it to the car wash today and it started leaking water into my car on the drivers side from the door seal. Passenger side seemed to be fine. Has anyone else had this problem? I think the door seal could be worn out, because it's pretty noisy driving at higher speeds, and it leaks a little up towards my mirror also.

I'm guessing it's the style that clamps onto the body just above the door right? Does it interfere with the rubber strip around the outside of the door or the actual door seal (looks like an O if you were to cut it) that seals against the body? Is your door closing fully?

Yeah it's the kind that clips on the door frame. My door closes fine, definitely makes a bit of a gap in the weather strip on the outside, but I'm not too sure on the inner O-seal. I'll get some pictures up tonight.

Re: Yakima roof rack making my door leak.
Sorry it took so long to get the pictures, been really busy lately.
The leaking may have something to do with my door not closing right. When I open it I can tell that it drops down an inch or two, almost like the hinges are bent or something? Anyone have any input on this?
