Default Y8 swap help?

Ok I searched and I could not find anything on this swap into a hatch. I have an engine light problem and dont know what it could be.... I check it and at first it blinked 4 time then light just stayed on. Then later on 2 hours later came back and only blinked once then stayed on. I swaped a 99 civic ex vtec into a 93 civic CX hatch. Now I had it running on the stock P05 ecu witht\ the y8 and ran fine and no engine lights what so ever. Now I have a p28 and VTEC is wired and works good. Now the light on the check engine blinked slow not fast blinks...? Can anyone help me?

Holy crap that post is confusing. Either way, the D16Y8 is OBDII, so you should look into that, it may be your problem. When running an OBDII engine, you must use an OBDII computer. The way to analyze an OBDII CEL is to get a reader, or take it to a shop that has one.

Well I used the p28 to over look the knock sensor and other misc stuff. The engine was basically turned to OBD1... using the injectors, dizzy, and the injectors. The motor runs good no problems what so ever just one code now. I believe its the o2 sensor...

So...replace it, and it should go away, right?

Right but yoou must remember that cx harness only had one o2 sensor wire so... I have to conver to 4 for the p28 which I have o2 already for. Just have to run the wires to the ECU thats all.

Lol, okay. In my defense, my swap came with a single-wire O2 sensor, which works with my JDM ECU, but in order to BAR the engine, I need to get the P28 ECU and the four wire O2 sensor. I know where you're coming from, it's easier said than done.

Damn right bro its easier said than done lol. Trust me ive been out there running wire and geting it ready for the pin in. But i ran into a problem there is already wire were it tells me to pin. Here bro check it out:

Using a P28 ECU (and should work for most obd1 ecu's with 4-wire controls)

Run O2 Sensor signal (white) To D14
Run O2 Sensor signal Ground (green) to D22 (or any good Ground)
Run O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Control (black) to A6
Run the other black heater circuit power wire to (A25) or any good switched +12VDC source.

I think your USDM wiring harness is pre-wired for multiple wire O2 sensors, which go from the ECU to a hub I think. You'll need to trace where those wires go, because they probably reach the end of the line right at a little hub right before where the final wires to the O2 sensor plug in. It'd be worth it to trace those before you take those wires out and rewire them if it's not necessary.
