Hey HT ok quick back round on me I had a eg6 but got stolen so now I'm on the hunt for sum thing else I found a 94 ej1 ex for a good price but it has a Y8 swap in it I just wanna know what I gotta do or what can be done so the car can run properly since its an obd2 motor in a obd1 car he's is currently sunning it with a stock obd1 p28 ecu I was wondering if I buy the p2p obd2a ecu and get a jumper harness if that's all I need help the car is really clean and its a good price but dnt wanna spend a lot of $$ on the conversion if not ill just swap in a z6

IIRC-Youd need to wire up v-tec and if its an automatic youll need to mess with the iacv.

Its manuel.. So it should run good as is even with the obd1 p28?

Yes, similar motor, same fuel cut, 5500 vtec engagement on the y8 and 4800 on the d16z6.

If it makes you feel any better have the ecu socketed and have a y8 map burned into a chip.
