Re: y8 motor mounts fluid filled? (hatchi)
I remember seeing a post about this a little while back, but I can't find it now for some reason.
The d16y8 mounts are fluid filled to further dampen vibration caused by engine. If that mount leaked it's fluid out, you'll need to replace the mount.

I'd like to know if Honda still uses fluid mounts in any of their cars. I have a y8 too, and I'm concerned that one day I'm going to find a leaky mount and have to spend more money on repairs.

If I were you I would buy one of the aftermarket mounts. Hasport makes a REALLY good mount, and there is a deal on them right now in the sponsors forum. They are more expinsive but they do not break as easlily as those crappy OEM driver side mounts. The design on those mounts is one of the shittiest I have seen.
