Default y8 Head or y8 Tranny or whole y8

alright I have a dx hatch sadly still with the y7...im already getting the y8 intake mani, tb, fuel injectors, and stock air box for 75$ and my question is, schould I get the y8 head next, the tranny, or just save and get a whole motor swap? I have heard a whole y8 is pretty cheap

b,h, k swap, anyone could have told him that. but i personally like d-series, so anyways. y8 head, is what i would go with, go the cheap way. as long as the tranny and all isn't too worn out and/or your not being too rough on it.

judging by OP they aren't looking to spend alot

then yes get a y8 head and tranny, should only set you back a few hundred $$$ for a decent upgrade. (gonna need vtec ecu too)

then, if you are looking to spend more, slap a turbo on there and wave bye to b-series all day long

I was thinking the same thing homie,so I decided to go y7 turbo...then I figured ill just slap the y8 head on my y7 block and boost it.A lot of people say go DOHC,but its up to you and your budget.I have a swap in one of my cars, but I'm looking forward to boosting my D,if it blows up then ill just get another one for a few hundred bucks.

man ditch the y7 and get a B, K, or H series swap, i have the d16y8 with CAI and catback and its still slow as *****, don't waste your money trying to build up a SOHC, unless you plan on turboing it real soon, y8 tranny isnt geared for accelearation, but the gearbox is a little tighter than y, the y8 head with vtec you will notice the most difference tho if u decide to go that route tho, good luck either way!
