y8 in eg. IAT SENSOR. y8 no???
hey wassup guyz i just recently swapped in a y8 and i noticed the y8 has no IAT?? am i right? well its throwing code 10 so i put an IAT sensor into that plug. is there any way i can fix this problem?
any of u guyz have this problem with a y8 in eg? hopefully im makin sense haha.. TIA.

On the Y8 the IAT is mounted in the intake tube not on the mainfold. When I had a Y8 in my 92 DX I had the IAT mounted in the intake tube also. Extend the wires if you are using the EG wiring harness and plug it up in the tube. You should be able to just plug it in and let it hang until you decide exactly how you want to go about making it look nice and neat.

i dont have intake tube. im turbo i have charge pipes.. is that what ur talking about?

And since your boosted try and make sure the intake charge wont leak...When I was boosted I just let my IAT hang...(some people say bad idea, but i did not have any problems I could tell)

yeah thats what im doing right now its plugged in but not to anywhere just tothe plug.. i havent really drove it yet cuz its smoking really bad. but did u still run it witht he check light?

I did not have a CEL with it plugged in and hangin +
You did clear the ECU after plugging in the IAT sensor correct? I know the ECU will sometimes reset itself but its a good thing to try.
