all right i just got a cam gear (aem tru-time adj) and it came off of a d16y7, i was going to get the y7 for free and then i decided that i need the extra space for my b-series build im going to try.

Well technically they're different parts (different part numbers) though I'm not sure as to the diameter of the pulley & the # of teeth.

I'd be lying if I said I knew if they were interchangeable or not.

If anything the timing will be off a few degrees. I know that if you put a z6 cam in a y8, you'll need an adjustable cam gear to adjust it like 3 degrees.

Just put it on and put everything at top dead center and see what happens...

lol- just see what happens- ive seen some bad stuff happen from that phrase

id rather just know if they are the same, cause if i have to adjust the cam gear by 3-4.58 just to get it normal there no point in putting it on for .5 of a degree
